A man has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of another man in Englewood Saturday night.
Stanford Thompson, 25, was charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing Eugene Clark, 25, in the 7100 block of South Ashland, police said.
Clark, of the 7900 block of South Karlov Avenue, was shot about 11:30 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead at 1:42 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.Thompson is scheduled to appear in bond court Monday.
