A man was shot to death as he was riding a bike in the South Side Brainerd neighborhood Wednesday night.
About 8:30 p.m. the man, identified as Ricky Robertson, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, was riding a bike in the 10200 block of Green Street, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
A vehicle drove by and one or more people inside fired multiple times at Robertson, striking him, Mirabelli said. Robertson, 47, of an unknown home address, was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:22 p.m. The medical examiner’s office said he suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Area South detectives are investigating.
