A South Side man has been charged with the May shooting death of a man in the West Pullman neighborhood.
Roman Foreman, 25, faces one count of first-degree murder in the death of Freddie Walton, 27, on May 29, police said.
Walton and his girlfriend were walking into a store at 122nd and Halsted when a vehicle with two people inside pulled up and shots were fired, police said. Walton, of the 12400 block of South Harvard Avenue, was shot in the neck and shoulder and was pronounced dead at Roseland Community Hospital, authorities said.
Foreman also is accused of shooting Caleb Anderson, 21, in the groin that same day in the 12200 block of South Carpenter, according to court records.
Foreman, of the 4800 block of South Evans, was free on bail with attempted murder charges from 2006 pending, records show. Cook County Judge James Brown ordered him held without bail Sunday.
