King, of the 1000 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:40 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

The older man was shot four times in the abdomen and once in the arm, and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition late Sunday.
