Marshun Black was fatally shot on the block where he lived in the Roseland neighborhood on Tuesday night.
About 10:20 p.m., the 28-year-old was outside on the 10000 block of South Wentworth when a car drove by and shots were fired at him, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Black, who lived on the same block, was shot in the head and abdomen, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:57 p.m., according to police and the medical examiner's office.
Police are investigating whether the shooting was gang-related.
