Anderson, 34, of the 7900 block of South Ridgeland was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:55 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Both men suffered multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Laster, of the 6100 block of North Seeley; and Thompson, of the 5400 block of North Kenmore, were later identified as the shooters, police said. They were each charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

A judge on Friday denied bond for both men, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. They are due back in court Sept. 23.

Police are investigating whether the shootings were gang-related.
