A woman fatally stabbed her on-again, off-again boyfriend Antone L. Sims after he pulled her hair during a fight at a West Pullman apartment late Saturday, according to Cook County prosecutors.

Vanessa Sanders, 38, faces first-degree murder charges for the 11:10 p.m. stabbing in the 11500 block of South Perry, Chicago Police announced Tuesday.

Sanders had been in an intermittent romantic relationship with the 28-year-old Sims, and she went with him to the first-floor apartment where he was going to do someone’s hair, prosecutors said at her bond hearing Wednesday.

They got into an argument that turned physical, and Sims pulled Sanders’ hair before another person separated them, prosecutors said.

The initial fight was caught on cell phone video, with footage afterward of Sanders saying “He pulled my m*****f*****g hair! I swear to God I’ll kill the b***h,” prosecutors allege.

Sims later walked back to Sanders to try and calm her down, asking for a kiss and to take a walk together, but Sanders rebuffed him, prosecutors said.

He tripped and fell as he walked away, and was sitting on the ground with his back to the wall when Sanders walked up with a knife and started yelling and stabbing him in the chest, prosecutors said.

A witness tried to perform CPR before Sims, of the 100 block of West Devoe Drive in Oswego, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 12:17 a.m., according to prosecutors and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The knife wasn’t recovered, but the person who lives in the apartment told investigators a knife was missing from the kitchen, prosecutors said.

Sanders, of the 5000 block of South Winchester, turned herself in to police the next night. She was ordered held on a $500,000 bond Wednesday.
