23-year-old man charged with murder for fatal stabbing of Prince Wilson during fight in Park Manor

A South Side man has been charged with killing Prince Wilson and wounding another man during a fight in the Park Manor neighborhood early Friday.

Shaqeil Quenshaun Kimber, 23, faces counts of first-degree murder and aggravated battery for the 5:30 a.m. attack inside a home in the 6900 block of South Prairie, according to Chicago Police.

When the three “known acquaintances” got into a fight, Kimber stabbed 24-year-old Prince Wilson repeatedly in the face and body; and a stabbed 21-year-old man in the left arm, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Wilson died at the scene, authorities said. His home address was unknown.

The younger man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Kimber, of the 1400 block of West 73rd Place, was arrested during a traffic stop later in the day and also faces numerous traffic citations, police said.

A judge ordered him held without bond at a Saturday hearing, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office.
