A man was taken into custody after Otha M. Mooney was shot to death during a domestic dispute early Monday in the Roseland neighborhood.
Officers responded about 12:30 a.m. to a call of a person shot at a home in the 100 block of West 112th Place. They found the 35-year-old Mooney with a gunshot wound to her head, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Mooney, who lived in the home, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:55 a.m., authorities said.
Police said the shooting was domestic in nature, and a 43-year-old man has been taken into custody. Charges were pending as of Monday morning.
