A man who died Saturday evening, one day after he was shot while driving in the Kelvin Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side, has been identified as 19-year-old Aaron Bennett.
At 11:47 a.m. Friday, Bennett was arguing with someone else in traffic while driving in the 2700 block of North Central, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The other person pulled a gun and opened fire before driving away, police said.
Bennett, who lived in the 600 block of North Kedzie, was shot in the head, and was originally taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, authorities said.
He was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:02 p.m. Saturday.
