A 74-year-old man was shot to death inside a vehicle Thursday morning on the South Side.
Willie Cooper was found in a vehicle in the 7000 block of South East End Avenue about 4:45 a.m., authorities said. He had been shot multiple times.
Cooper, of the of 6800 block of South Crandon Avenue, was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The shooting happened just three blocks south of where Chicago blues musician Eric “Guitar” Davis was shot dead inside a vehicle less than an hour later. Police could not immediately say if the killings were related.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
