Charles Luckett was killed and a woman wounded in a shooting in an East Garfield Park neighborhood establishment early Friday on the West Side.
About 2:30 a.m., the 32-year-old Luckett 32 and 42-year-old women were inside a business in the 3800 block of West Chicago when someone opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Luckett was struck in the chest, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where the East Garfield Park resident was pronounced dead, police and the medical examiner’s office said. The woman, who was struck in the ankle, was listed in good condition at Mount Sinai.
No one was in custody for the shooting.
