Jonathan Green was found shot to death Tuesday morning just a block from his home in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired about 11 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Karlov found the 34-year-old lying in the street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Green was unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the head and torso, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:36 a.m., police and the medical examiner’s office said.
He lived about a block away from where the shooting occurred.
