A man who was killed in a shooting that left two other men were wounded Tuesday night on the Near West Side has been identified as 26-year-old Antwon High.
The shooting happened about 8:40 p.m. when four people got out of a dark vehicle in the 200 block of South Hoyne, Chicago Police said. They started shooting at the three victims, who were standing on a corner.
High was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:05 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.
A 21-year-old man was shot in the groin and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said. A 23-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his left knee. He was also taken to Stroger, where his condition was stabilized.
