A Monday autopsy determined a woman found dead Friday in the Humboldt Park area was strangled.
Velma Howard, 51, was found wrapped inside a blanket in an alley in the 600 block of North Homan Avenue about 5 p.m. Friday, authorities said.
A Monday autopsy determined Howard, of the 2900 block of West Madison Street, was strangled and her death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.
Police could not immediately provide further details.
Nobody has been charged in the killing.
