Terrell Wilson was fatally shot Friday afternoon during a fight in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
Police responding to a call of shots fired found Wilson, 21, shot multiple times on a sidewalk in the 4000 block of West Van Buren Street just before 1 p.m., authorities said.
Wilson had been fighting with somebody when a group of people exited a nearby vehicle and ran after him, police said. At least one person in the group pulled a gun and opened fire.
Wilson, of the 1100 block of South Throop Street, was shot numerous times and was dead at the scene, authorities said.
Nobody has been charged in the murder.
Area North detectives are investigating.
