Darnall Gordon was killed and two other men were wounded in a shooting Monday night in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
About 7:20 p.m. Monday, the three men were in a convenience store in the 1600 block of West Howard Street when someone standing across the street opened fire, police said.
Gordon was shot in the chest and taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
Gordon, 36, of the 6300 block of North Sacramento Avenue, was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:26 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.
A 25-year-old man was shot in the hip, wrist and leg and was taken to Saint Francis in serious condition. A 27-year-old man made his own way to Saint Francis with a gunshot wound to his collarbone, police said.
No one was in custody. Area North detectives were investigating.
