Three uninvited guests were asked to leave a family party in the 8400 block of South Constance Avenue about 10:45 p.m., police said.

They were escorted outside where a verbal argument ensued, police said. A 19-year-old man pulled out a handgun and shot the victim twice in the chest before running away.

Southern is scheduled to appear in bond court Monday.

The two 16-year-old boys were also charged with first-degree murder, armed home invasion, attempted home invasion and mob action, police said.
