Abel Ruvalcaba was shot to death early Monday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
About 4:30 a.m., the 21-year-old Ruvalcaba was a passenger in a vehicle in the 2400 block of South Sawyer when someone fired shots from the sidewalk, striking him in the chest, police said.
Ruvalcaba, of the 2200 block of South Spaulding, later died at Mount Sinai Hospital, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
