The death of Tennessee man Anthony Morris, who was found beaten March 26 in the South Side Park Manor neighborhood, has been ruled a homicide.
The 27-year-old was found unresponsive and bleeding in the 7000 block of South Vincennes Avenue about 1:30 p.m. on March 26, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.
Morris, of Jackson, Tenn., was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
An autopsy Friday found he died of complications from head and brain injuries caused by being struck on the head, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
